Reviewer Comments: What would you do if you found out the name of your one true love? Diana Holquist shows readers what happens when you find out the name of your true love in her new book Make Me a Match. Holquist brings readers a light-hearted comedy with endearing characters and an inventive plot that will bring a smile to your face.

Cecelia Burns has the perfect life, the perfect job, the perfect apartment, and the perfect fiancé but the day of her perfect engagement party her sister Amy crashes the party and her perfect life begins to unravel. Amy is a gypsy and she has a gift a very special psychic gift, she can look at any person and tell them the name, not any name but “The Name” of their one true love. Cecelia hasn’t seen Amy in 10 years, but they have always had a deal, Amy would never, ever tell Cecelia the name. But Amy is back and she knows the name and it isn’t the perfect fiancé, Jack; No the name is Finn Franklin Concord, only problem is Amy feels Finn is slowly dying. Now Cecelia knows “The Name” and his impending death, Cecelia, a doctor, can’t help but try to save this man and in the course of saving him she begins to doubt her choice in mates.

Finn Franklin Concord has had a tough few years; losing his wife a few year back, he’s lived in Florida and worked in construction and taking care of his daughter Maya. Finn has plans to send Maya off to summer camp and spend his summer doing construction. Maya has plans to visit her rent-a-granny in Baltimore. So Maya sets up a job for her father, finds a place to live above rent-a-granny Trudy’s bar, and Finn packs up, and moves to Baltimore for the summer. As luck would have it Cecelia lives in Baltimore too, so just out of curiosity she begins her search for Finn Concord. When a beautiful woman tells him he’s going to die, he figures it is the strangest pick-up line he’s ever heard but he wouldn’t mind going out on a date or two.

Make Ma a Match is a laugh-out loud romantic comedy with charm, wit, and just plain fun characters. Holquist has written some wonderfully rich characters that leap out of the pages and really bring this story to life. From Maya to smart matchmaking daughter, to Granny Trudy the ex-con bar owner and rent-a-granny, to down on her luck gypsy sister Amy. Not to mention some really great Finn Concords that Cecelia meets throughout the book, who would have thought so many would have that name?

What makes Make Me a Match so wonderful is the relationship that is forged between Finn and Cecelia. Holquist spends some time building a great relationship, with fun dialog and circumstances that bring these two together on a platonic level. As the sensual tension starts to heat up Holquist isn’t afraid to put obstacles in their way making the pressure build and the need to keep reading addictive. Make Me a Match is a unique romantic comedy that has a heart that will keep you laughing, crying, and sighing until the last page. Holquist has brought readers a great new concept and everyone should look forward to her next book because who doesn’t want to know the name of their one true love?
