When Hannah Hailstock discovered an unconscious and bleeding man in the back seat of her Oldsmobile, she had no idea the twists and turns her life would take….
Manager of a health food store, yet a “junk-food junkie”, Hannah has always been the responsible one in her family. Now she feels responsible for the injured man. Dropping him at the local emergency room for treatment, when she returns the following day it is to discover a man trying to strangle him. Putting her black belt in karate to use, she subdues the attacker and helps her John Doe escape. A Nancy Drew wannabe, she is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery of why someone wants her sexy charge dead.
Cooper West has been robbed, beaten and mistaken for someone else. He’s on the run and hiding in Hannah’s bedroom. Someone wants him dead, they think he has something of theirs and they have stolen his forty-thousand dollar Harley to keep as a bargaining chip. He wants to get to the bottom of the mystery himself, get his Harley back, and get out of town. He never planned on being attracted to Hannah though, with her funky pink hair, and irrepressible charm.
With a James Bond wannabe father with a tendency to get into scrapes, a flower-child artist mother, and a host of wacky friends, Hannah is a brave, smart and resourceful heroine! I thoroughly enjoyed her madcap adventure.
Cooper, who looks like Heath Ledger, is a funny and sexy hero who jumps right into Hannah’s life and shows her what a sexy and wonderful woman she can be. He seemed shallow in the beginning, but quickly endeared himself to me.
Fast-paced, unpredictable suspense, steamy love scenes, and witty dialogue combine to make Bad Hair Day a funny and charming read.
